Boykin Rod & Gun is a full service inshore and backwater guide service. This means that we do our fishing in the back bays,
salt marshes, shallow flats, and sometimes even the beautiful rivers of eastern
We utilize both premium light
tackle and fly fishing gear in the pursuit of flounder, redfish, speckled trout, black drum, gray trout, and many other species. In early spring we also target American and hickory shad in the eastern rivers. Fresh water fly fishing trips are also available.
All skill levels are welcome, from first time anglers to the most experienced. I also offer beginner and intermediate fly fishing
instruction.
To some degree our fishing is seasonal. Our best flounder fishing runs from June through the end of November, speckled
trout prefer the cooler waters of fall, and the drum fishing is strong all summer and fall, but we keep small drum in the sound year
round! All tackle, lures, and bait provided
